A few months ago I read about Hyaluronic Serum on a few different fashion blogs. When it comes to skin care, I have a tendancy to be skeptical. I have the skin of a pubescent girl (read: I break out frequently) combined with the needs of my skin’s age. I’m not 19, so taking care to keep my skin healthy and young is very important. In the recommendations I had read about this serum, they had all said that it is sticky but worked wonders. Despite my skepticism the arguments were convincing, so I decided to give it a shot. I found a bottle on Amazon, and in just a few days I was on my way to seeing first hand what all the hype was about.
Let me give you a little info on what Hyaluronic Serum is:
Hyaluronic serum is a commercially available form of hyaluronic acid that is commonly used as a stand-alone cosmetic product. It is also used in combination with other ingredients in skin-care products, especially anti-aging formulations. Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a naturally occurring protein — mucopolysaccharide, to be more precise. It is synthesized by the body and is present in skin cells. Primarily responsible for maintaining the oil-water equilibrium of the dermal tissues, it helps provide adequate hydration and nourishment. With age, the synthesis of hyaluronic acid in the body diminishes and the skin begins to show signs of aging in the form of wrinkles, crows feet and sagging.
I applied it to my face and neck after my regular nightly routine. It was as sticky as I’d read, yet it didn’t seem to make my freshly washed hair dirty or grimy as it stuck to my face. I woke up the next morning, and quickly decided that it is definitely worth it!! I can’t believe the difference that my skin is showing! After a week of wearing it, others started noticing. And on top of all of it, it hasn’t led to a break-out.
Because of the texture, there is no way that I can wear it under any sort of make-up, but I do put it on every night. I’ve finally come to the end of my first bottle; time to put in an order for a new one. I’ve used it enough that I am confident in making the recommendation to you. Seriously!
